Original Japanese Animation Art
Original production cels, douga, genga, storyboards and hand-painted backgrounds from more than 100 Japanese anime series, OVAs and feature films. Each work is a physical artifact made for the animation process itself.
From the animator’s drawing to the photographed frame
During traditional analog production, key poses were developed as genga and cleaned into douga before selected drawings were transferred to acetate, painted by hand and photographed with characters, effects and backgrounds. Registration holes, sequence numbers, pencil notes, paint edges and studio markings are part of the object’s production history.
Our archive includes Dragon Ball, Dr. Slump, Hokuto no Ken, Saint Seiya, Sailor Moon, Kinnikuman, Shurato, Urusei Yatsura, Minky Momo, Captain Harlock, Otokojuku, Gundam and many rarer titles. The dedicated series collections below provide deeper historical and production context.
