Kinnikuman (1983) – Suguru Kinniku Funny Face – Original Production Cel + Douga

Suguru Kinniku Funny Face – Original Kinnikuman Production Artwork

An original hand painted animation cel featuring Suguru Kinniku, the unmistakable hero of Kinnikuman (1983). His oversized, furious expression, pointed head and bold 肉 emblem make this an especially graphic and playful example of the series’ visual humour.

Created for the original Toei Animation television production, based on the manga by Yudetamago, the artwork captures the exaggerated character animation that helped define this cult Japanese wrestling comedy.

The set includes the character cel and a separate original production drawing of cloud effects. The drawing does not depict the character and should not be described as a matching character douga. The cel’s strong silhouette and concentrated facial expression make it particularly appealing as a framed display piece.
