The accompanying douga / correction sheet adds further production context and shows the care given to the eyes and facial expression.

About

Production art from anime (before the digital era) refers to the hand-crafted artwork created during the animation process. This includes Cels (hand-painted frames), Dougas (preliminary sketches), Storyboards (scene planning), and backgrounds—all essential in bringing anime to life. These unique, tangible pieces capture the artistry and craftsmanship of legendary animators and offer a direct connection to the creative process behind iconic anime films and series.
