Original hand-painted Japanese animation production artwork from My Father’s Dragon (エルマーの冒険 / Erumā no Bōken, 1997), the theatrical adaptation of Ruth Stiles Gannett’s classic children’s book.

This charming setup features the film’s Cat, the stray cat whose story about the captive dragon sets Elmer’s adventure in motion. The character is therefore not just a background animal but one of the narrative triggers of the story.

The set includes the original production cel and its matching douga. The striped character design reads beautifully in cel form, with a simple, graphic silhouette and a very appealing expression.
