Metal Armor Dragonar – Original Production Cel

Original Metal Armor Dragonar Production Cel

Authentic hand-painted Japanese animation production cel from Metal Armor Dragonar (1987–1988), produced by Sunrise.

Metal Armor Dragonar is an independent series, not part of the Gundam canon, but it occupies an important place in the same Sunrise real-robot tradition. Its mechanical designs were created by Kunio Okawara, the legendary designer whose work on the original Mobile Suit Gundam established much of the visual language of military mecha anime.

Directed by Takeyuki Kanda with character design by Kenichi Ohnuki, Dragonar also became an important showcase for late-1980s mecha animation, including work associated with Masami Obari.
